First Aid & CPR Vermont
In Vermont, residential settings for vulnerable adults and seniors — assisted living residences, nursing homes and home-care services — depend on licensed nursing assistants who can act quickly in a medical emergency. To protect residents, these settings commonly expect their care staff to hold first-aid and CPR training.
Assisted living residences, nursing homes (long-term care) and home-care services; the Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential and registry are overseen by the Vermont Board of Nursing.
Care staff on site are commonly expected to be prepared for a cardiac or choking emergency. In Vermont, CPR is included in some LNA training programs (80 hours) and required by many facilities as a condition of hire, alongside TB testing and immunization records.
A recognized, up-to-date CPR and first-aid certificate is the way to meet this expectation; it is in addition to the aide's occupational training and must be renewed periodically.
我们严格遵循 ILCOR(International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation)的建议,该国际机构负责对全球复苏标准进行科学评估与制定。
